Power BI UI/UX Expert (with English)

We are looking for a talented UI/UX Designer with expertise in Power BI to join our partner’s team – the leading American multinational IT company! This role will focus on improving the user experience of our Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring they are not only visually appealing but also intuitive and user-friendly. You will work closely with Power BI developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to create high-quality, responsive, and accessible visualizations that drive business insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• UI/UX Design for Power BI Dashboards:
• Design and develop visually engaging Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations with a focus on user-centric design.
• Ensure that visualizations follow best practices in terms of layout, color schemes, and typography while maintaining consistency across the entire reporting suite.
• Optimize reports and dashboards for different screen sizes, ensuring mobile responsiveness and accessibility.
• User Experience Research & Collaboration:
• Collaborate with end-users, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into clear, actionable designs.
• Conduct user research (e.g., user interviews, surveys, usability testing) to gather feedback on the usability and effectiveness of Power BI reports.
• Analyze user behavior and iteratively improve the user experience based on feedback and testing.
• Information Architecture & Interaction Design:
• Develop intuitive, easy-to-navigate layouts and information architecture for Power BI reports.
• Create interactive elements such as filters, slicers, drill-throughs, and tooltips that enhance the user’s ability to explore data seamlessly.
• Design System & Standards:
• Establish and maintain a design system to ensure consistency in UI/UX across all Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Develop reusable templates and components to streamline the design process and maintain uniformity in visual design and interactivity.
• Usability & Performance Optimization:
• Ensure that reports and dashboards not only meet design standards but are also optimized for performance, with fast loading times and smooth interactivity.
• Identify and resolve design-related issues that impact the user experience.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX design trends, Power BI features, and best practices to incorporate innovative solutions into reports.
• Continuously test, evaluate, and refine Power BI interfaces to improve overall user experience.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven experience (X+ years) as a UI/UX Designer, with a focus on Power BI or similar BI tools.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, user-centered design methodologies, and responsive design practices.
• Proficiency in Power BI, including creating and designing dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Experience with Power BI’s design and development environment, including DAX and Power Query is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, or similar.
• Experience in creating wireframes, prototypes, and user flows.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions to stakeholders and non-technical teams.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating seamless, visually appealing user experiences.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

• Experience in designing for other BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, etc.) is a plus.
• Knowledge of data visualization best practices and principles.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and experience designing accessible dashboards.
• Experience with HTML/CSS or other front-end development technologies is a plus.
• Certification in UI/UX Design or Power BI is a plus.
