Network Support Engineer

Mission Terms

As part of its activities, our client is looking for a Network Support Engineer.

A portion of the mission can, in consultation with the manager, be done remotely. However, a minimum of 2 days per week on-site in Gosselies is mandatory. Additional on-site days may be requested from the consultant, depending on the department's needs (occasionally). Since the Gosselies site is not easily accessible by public transport, having a driver’s license and a vehicle will be preferable for travel.

Mission Context

The consultant will join the Datacom & Telephony team (responsible for all IT and OT networks of the client) to provide support to users and network experts.

Main Tasks

  1. Operational Management:
  • Ticket management
  • Incident and request management
  • Incident investigation
  • Modifications to the infrastructure related to incidents/requests: equipment configuration changes, addition of equipment (installation will be executed by a Field Engineers team), etc.
  • Writing documentation
  1. Support for Network Experts:
  • Performing recurring tasks
  • Writing documentation
  • Participating in implementation activities (depending on the seniority level)

Desired Profile

From a "soft skills" perspective, it is expected that the consultant:

  • Is autonomous, able to work in a team, and has excellent communication skills
  • Is client and solution-oriented
  • Is stress-resistant
  • Is meticulous and rigorous

Must-Have Requirements:

  • Language requirement: C2 level in French (CEFR scale)
  • Experience in network security aspects
  • Experience in Routing / Switching and Wi-Fi technologies
  • Experience in implementing modifications related to network infrastructures
  • Experience in monitoring and tuning systems within the network
  • Proven experience in a similar corporate environment (number of users > 2000)
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing new network systems (Medior level: 3 - 5 years)
  • Proven experience in level 2 support for network management (Medior level: 3 - 5 years)

Should-Have/Nice-to-Have Requirements:

  • CCNA level (or equivalent) expected
  • Good knowledge of ITIL
