What You Will Do

• Leading technically and mentoring a team of Java developers, ensuring they follow best practices and coding standards
• Developing high-quality and detailed technical designs for Java applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and are scalable
• Drive the definition and implementation of mobile application architecture
• Define and participate in the implementation of the API layer
• Work with business and other stakeholders to define the requirements for the Java applications and the API layer
• Hands-on coding of the solution
• Participation in the software development lifecycle (peer reviews, testing, coding, etc)
• Contribute to planning and providing high-level solution effort estimation
• Explain technical issues and IT solution strategies to stakeholders and other IT professionals
• Support with managing vendors and give valuable comments on the reviews
• Ensure effective communication with business units, IT Operations, and external vendors
• Ensure the creation of solution design and technical documentation and facilitate the best practices and knowledge sharing among the team
• Identify and escalate the risks associated with solution architecture, IT decisions, and any other possible technical risks
• Ensure effective IT development process by having a good overview of IT development processes and tools
  
  

What We Expect

• Proven track record of developing and deploying Java applications
• Professional proficiency with Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot
• Professional familiarity with architecture patterns
• Professional knowledge of different software development methodologies
• Strong knowledge of microservice architecture
• Expertise working with Jenkins, Git, Docker/Virtualization
• Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level
