Frontend Developer | Remote | 10-Month Contract

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Frontend Developer to join an innovative project on a remote basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in TypeScript, React, WebSockets, and Pixi.js, along with a deep understanding of Agile methodologies and software development life cycle processes. This role involves working in a collaborative Agile environment, solving complex front-end challenges, and delivering high-quality product increments.

Key Responsibilities

Agile Development & Collaboration:

Work within an Agile environment, participating in sprints and contributing to software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
Clearly communicate technical concepts and product increments to stakeholders.
Present development progress and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Frontend Development & Implementation:

Develop and maintain high-performance web applications using TypeScript, React, WebSockets, and Pixi.js.
Implement user interfaces with Material UI (preferred).
Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.

Software Development Best Practices:

Utilize Git for version control (minimum 2 years of experience required).
Apply test automation strategies to enhance software quality.
Adhere to coding best practices, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD workflows.

Cloud & System Integration:

Work with message-oriented systems and Kubernetes (basic understanding required, hands-on experience is a plus).
Collaborate with backend teams to integrate cloud-based solutions.

Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting:

Identify and resolve front-end development challenges efficiently.
Optimize application performance and troubleshoot real-time issues.

Required Skills & Experience

Soft Skills:

Agile Expertise: Hands-on experience with Agile workflows (Agile/Scrum certification required).
Presentation Skills: Ability to communicate ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to address front-end development challenges.
Stakeholder Communication: Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Hard Skills:

Frontend Technologies: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in:

TypeScript, React, WebSockets, and Pixi.js.
Experience with Material UI is a plus.

Development Tools:

Proficient with VS Code, IntelliJ, Jira, and Confluence.

Software Development Practices:

Strong grasp of SDLC, test automation, and Agile methodologies.
Proven experience in at least 3 large-scale projects.

Cloud & Infrastructure:

Basic understanding of Kubernetes and message-oriented systems (hands-on experience is a plus).

Version Control:

At least 2 years of experience with Git.
