Tech Lead : Remote

For our customer, important start-up, we are looking for the best Tech Lead.

Responsibilities

● Partner with the Leadership team to define and implement a program to support team values and culture in a global team of different countries and cultures.

● Develop and maintain onboarding processes for new hires

● Assist in driving our recruiting and hiring processes including interviewing, offers and compensation analysis

● Help structure internal feedback and performance reviews, and provide coaching as people advance in their career

● Liaising with team members and management to ensure projects are completed to standard.

● Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and developments.

● Motivating staff and creating a space where they can ask questions and voice their concerns.

Requirements

● Proven track record of effectively managing software engineers and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

● You have excellent technical skills and relevant experience with Javascript/Node.js (ideally with TypeScript too).

● Experience in developing and running (Monitoring, Alerting...) highly-available, high-traffic, and customer-facing services.

● You have experience with web application development frameworks and tools like React, Express, Next.js.

● You have experience building APIs via REST and JSON

● You have experience with Cloud Development in GCP/AWS (Experience with other cloud platforms is OK too)

● Profound knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle. This includes coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live site operations.

● You have experience with a variety of data stores and designing suitable data models

● You have a computer science degree or relevant professional experience

● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively with all levels of the organization and across cultures

● Self-starter, working with little supervision and operating with a sense of urgency in executing and delivering

● 5+ years of experience in a similar position.

● Proficient in written English.
