Responsibilities
As a Senior Android Engineer, you'll be crafting exceptional mobile experiences that redefine how people shop and interact on our platform. Working within an autonomous squad, you'll build innovative features using cutting-edge Android technologies. You'll be responsible for:
- Mobile Architecture: Designing and implementing robust Android applications using modern frameworks like Jetpack Compose, ensuring our app sets new standards for mobile shopping experiences
- User Experience: Creating fluid, responsive interfaces with sophisticated animations and interactions that make shopping feel natural and engaging
- Technical Innovation: Building and maintaining high-performance mobile solutions that scale with our rapidly growing user base while maintaining excellent code quality
Technical stack and tools
- Our frontend is built with VueJS and TypeScript
- On the backend we mainly use NodeJS
- Other core technologies include AWS, Express, Vite, and Webpack, NPM, Cypress, GraphQL, and more
- Candidates MUST be ready to join a startup and move fast through interview rounds
- 5+ years of professional experience in Android development using Kotlin
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (mathematics, computer science, engineering)
- Deep knowledge of the Android ecosystem and modern architectural patterns
- Strong experience with animations and material components
- You thrive in fast-paced startup environments and aren't afraid of uncertainty
- You communicate technical concepts clearly and work effectively in autonomous teams
- You have a keen eye for design and enjoy collaborating with product teams on UX/UI decisions
- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP)
- Proficiency with GraphQL APIs
- Expertise in E2E Testing Frameworks
- Understanding of cross-platform development principles
