Software Engineer

Our client, a globally recognised leader in investment management, is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join a high-impact team that plays a critical role across the firm. What You’ll Be Doing:

• Develop and own sophisticated in-house systems that power investment strategies
• Translate complex financial concepts into high-performance, scalable code that fuels decision-making
• Work closely with exceptional talent and top financial experts to design mission-critical tools for a rapidly evolving market
• Write high-quality, testable, and maintainable code that ensures the stability and performance of our trading infrastructure
• Leverage modern technologies such as cloud computing, Kubernetes, and distributed systems to push beyond legacy constraints
• Expand your expertise in areas like big data processing, real-time analytics and possibly some quantitative development / research

What We’re Looking For:

• 4+ years of experience with Python or C# in a professional setting
• Strong background in SQL, data analysis, and ETL processes (Microsoft SQL Server experience preferred)
• Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them from concept to production with independence
• Good understanding of financial instruments (experience with financial data is a must, trading systems is a plus)
• Experience working in cloud-based environments and containerised applications (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to optimize complex systems for performance and scalability
