Job Description Summary :
The chosen candidate will work with our team in Limerick to carry out various electrical and other functional tests on a new product in development. The work is mainly lab-based and involves working with a wide variety of benchtop test equipment. Preparation of clear documentation forms a significant part of the role.
Job Description
The selected candidate will satisfy the following requirements:
- have a degree at 2.1 level or above in electrical/electronic engineering,
- have at least 2-3 years experience working in an electronic engineering environment, though a high calibre graduate will also be considered for the role,
- have excellent spoken and written English,
The work involves some/all of the following:
- Preparation and execution of various electrical and functional tests for a new product under development.
- Preparation of various documents to capture and record test results.
- Good experience with standard electrical benchtop test equipment is required.
- Printed circuit board testing.
- Experience with embedded systems programming.
- Working with electrical schematic entry and PCB design CAD tools, preferably Altium Designer.
- Good communication skills, the work involves a lot of interaction with hardware designers, software designers and people from other project disciplines.
- The successful candidate will have a deep interest in electronic circuit design, will be capable of working on their own initiative and will have a willing and eager attitude.
