Job Title: Data Scientist

Location: Hybrid - Melbourne

Duration: 2 month (9 weeks) - Starting date - March

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing to ensure data integrity.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover insights and trends.
  • Build, test, and validate machine learning models under the guidance of senior data scientists.
  • Create visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions.
  • Document processes and share insights with stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Already at least 2 years of experience.
  • Basic understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Familiarity with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) and data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Power BI).
  • Experience with SQL for data querying.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with data science projects, internships, or coursework.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
