What You’ll Do

• Build for Scale: Develop robust, scalable infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that can handle the growing demands of our expanding user base.
• Enhance Reliability: Ensure our platform is reliable and efficient through automation, monitoring, and optimization of cloud services.
• Innovate Relentlessly: Constantly seek out new technologies and methods to improve our infrastructure’s performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with Experts: Work closely with our multidisciplinary team, contributing your expertise while learning from others. You will be working both with the French and Italian engineering teams.

• Technical Expertise:
• Cloud Expertise: Strong experience with Google Cloud and/or AWS services like Compute Engine/EC2, Cloud Run/Lambda, Dataflow/Datapipeline, BigQuery/Redshift, Cloud SQL/RDF, Pub/Sub/Kafka, etc
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficient with tools like Pulumi, Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager for automating infrastructure.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD or Google Cloud Build.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Expertise with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE on GCP or EKS on AWS).
• Scripting & Automation: Proficient in scripting languages like Python and Bash for automating tasks and tool integration.
• Version Control: Experience with Git and GitOps workflows.
• Monitoring & Logging: Experience with cloud native tools (CloudWatch, Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging) and third-party tools like Elastic Search, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
• Networking: Strong knowledge of cloud networking (VPC, firewalls, load balancing, hybrid/multi-cloud connectivity).
• Cloud Security: Understanding of cloud security services (IAM, Cloud Identity, Secret Manager) and implementing best security practices.

Bonus Points For

• Scalability Expertise: Proven experience in building scalable, modular infrastructure solutions.
• SRE Practices: Experience with SRE practices like incident response, error budgeting, and post-mortem analysis to reduce downtime.
• Cost Optimization: Knowledge of cloud Cost Management and techniques for tracking and reducing cloud costs.
• MLOps Insight: Exposure to MLOps practices and tools like Vertex AI, Dataflow, and BigQuery ML.
• Geospatial Data Pipelines: Experience with large-scale geospatial data pipelines on GCP.
• Language: Italian and French
