Senior Application Developer

Do you have 10 years of experience as an Application Programmer? We are looking for an EU nation responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mainframe applications using PL1, DB2, and CICS to join our team in Brussels.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in mainframe application development
• Proficiency in PL1, DB2, and CICS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in business and functional analysis
• Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience in the world of mutuality
• PL1 programming
• DB2 database management
• CICS transaction processing
• Mainframe development tools
• Performance tuning and optimization
• Software testing and debugging
• Version control systems
• SDLC methodologies
• Language(s): English(fluent), Dutch(fluent)

Job Description:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using PL1, DB2, and CICS
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements
• Translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior programmers
• Participate in project planning, estimation, and risk management activities
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure continuous improvement
