Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

 Monitor system performances, initiate and coordinate recovery activities in case of a hazardous

condition, service degradation or outage.

 Monitor the progress of any distress traffic in the network and ensure delivery to Maritime

Rescue and Coordination Centres (MRCC).

 Monitor for security threats in various IP-networks and perform first line analyses.

 Analyse system log files, perform regular checks on systems and services to ensure its reliability.

 Report any planned and unplanned activities to internal and external parties.

 Provide 2 nd line technical customer support.

 Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

 CCNA Routing and Switching certificate is mandatory.

 Knowledge of Satellite and GSM Telecom technologies.

 Able to analyse and prioritise under stressful conditions.

 Structured, analytical and efficient in problem solving.

 High focus on Inmarsat internal and external customers.

 Good interpersonal skills to work in a team.

 Excellent reporting skills.
