DevSecOps Lead

We are seeking a DevSecOps Lead to lead our security, infrastructure, and DevOps practices for our cloud-based SaaS platform. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone with a strong background in cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS), cybersecurity, and DevOps, with a passion for automation, security, cost optimization, and performance

What You Will Be Doing

• Oversee and improve DevOps, infrastructure, and cybersecurity for our cloud-native SaaS platform.
• Lead and mentor teams in DevOps, infrastructure, and security to drive operational excellence.
• Optimize infrastructure costs and workload efficiency, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Establish and own DevOps practices that enhance development and testing velocity through automation and the use of containers in a secure and efficient manner
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
• Institute and enforce security best practices, achieving and maintaining SOC2 Type 2 compliance.
• Oversee recurring third-party penetration tests, working with engineering teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Manage and improve bug bounty programs as part of a proactive security strategy.
• Implement Defense in Depth strategies to protect networks, workloads, resources, and data.
• Utilize metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvements in security posture, cloud cost efficiency, and DevOps automation.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, compliance, and leadership to ensure security and DevOps strategies align with business objectives.
• Strengthen your DevOps, infrastructure and security pods through mentorship, training as needed and setting growth paths
  
  

What You Will Need To Be Successful

• 5+ years of experience overseeing DevOps, infrastructure, and cybersecurity in a cloud environment, preferably AWS.
• Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring DevSecOps teams.
• Strong track record of improving infrastructure cost efficiency and optimizing workloads.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with at least 3 years of experience (preferably Terraform).
• Results-oriented mindset with a history of driving DevOps automation to improve development and testing velocity.
• Deep knowledge of security frameworks and regulatory compliance, including SOC2 Type 2.
• Experience conducting and overseeing third-party penetration tests and managing vulnerability remediation processes.
• Hands-on experience with Defense in Depth security strategies for networks, workloads, and data.
• Strong experience with security monitoring, incident response, and cloud security best practices.
• Data-driven and KPI-oriented, continuously improving security, cloud operations, and DevOps processes.
• Experience overseeing a bug bounty program is a plus.
