Executive - Cargo Planning

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive cargo planning strategies to optimize operational efficiency
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless cargo handling and transportation processes
Monitor and analyze cargo data, trends, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for improvement
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices
Manage and oversee cargo capacity planning, allocation, and utilization
Participate in negotiations and contracts with cargo service providers and suppliers
Provide leadership and guidance to the cargo planning team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for cargo logistics and operations
Communicate regularly with senior management to report on cargo performance and contribute to strategic decision-making
Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to drive continuous improvement

Experience

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 14-17years of experience in cargo planning within the Aviation industry
Demonstrated track record of successfully managing cargo operations and implementing strategic planning initiatives
Proven experience in liaising with government agencies, airlines, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth cargo operations

Education Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
Master's degree or certification in Supply Chain Management or Cargo Operations is preferred

Certification Required

Certification in Cargo and Dangerous Goods Regulations (IATA DGR) is highly desirable
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
