This role will be leading the construction of a flagship project in Romania, a 350+MW solar project built across multiple land parcels. The size and logistical complexity of this project means that this person will need to be a senior leader with a proven track record of delivering large (100MW+) projects, managing projects/sites with multiple project managers, and the ability to control tight deliverables.

This individual will need to travel to the site near Brasov most days, probably 5 days per week, and will need to be a strong and visible leader. They will be fully responsible for the entire project, managing communications with all of the relevant stakeholders including logistics and procurement, engineering, project and site management, finance, legal, and both the EPC and ICP subcontractors.

This individual will need to speak good English and Romanian, ideally mother tongue, and have excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities will include:

• Determine contract resource requirements, service specifications and manage contractor performance.
• Consult on engineering.
• Permit compliance and oversee the process leading to Notice to Proceed on projects to be constructed.
• Maintain relationships in the country with selected Tier 1 suppliers and country supply chain issues.
• Manage activities related to coordination of field inspection and sign offs for construction projects.
• Monitor and evaluate activities of outsourced Construction companies to ensure adherence to safety, quality, schedules and budgets, cost-effectiveness and control, and results.
• Develop, review and evaluate contracts and agreements affecting the project execution and functional area operations and make appropriate recommendations.
• Collaborate with management staff to resolve problems and coordinate activities with the field construction managers.
• Ensure that construction management is integrated into the planning, scheduling, cost tracking, construction, installation, and testing and acceptance activities.
• Ensure Construction Managers obtain all construction materials and material handling plans are established and managed.
• Provide constructability feedback on electrical, mechanical, protection and civil construction standards.
• Identify construction risk during the planning, execution and construction phases and prepare risk mitigation plans.
• Direct and source compliance documents to study permit requirements for maintaining compliance for projects connected to various ISO's.
