Location: Edinburgh, Hybrid.

A role you will love

We are looking for a driven and passionate UX/UI Lead to help manage and mentor designers across the business to create intuitive, visually appealing and user-centric digital and phygital experiences. In your role, you will be responsible for design strategies, driving innovation and ensuring the delivery of high-quality design solutions across multiple projects.

Your role will involve fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams, advocating for user needs, and continuously improving processes to enhance the overall user experience and drive business growth.

Other Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership support, mentorship, and guidance to UX/UI teams, including setting clear expectations, goals and priorities.
  • Implement strategic plans and roadmaps for the UX/UI capability aligned with business goals and objectives.
  • Identify emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in UX/UI design to inform strategic decision-making and drive innovation.
  • Plan, execute and ensure deliver of UX/UI projects.
  • Manage project resources, including timelines, and staffing, to optimize project outcomes and minimise risks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including product managers, executives, and external partners, to ensure alignment on project goals and priorities.
  • Advocate for the UX/UI team's needs, priorities, and contributions within the organisation and championing the value of user-centred design.
  • Facilitate workshops, fostering an open environment for team through structured activities such as brainstorming, prototyping, or design critique sessions to align on UX and business goals.

What Will You Bring To The Role

We’re seeking a passionate UX/UI Lead, who’s ready for a challenge. You will be able to collaborate and communicate well, build great working relationships, influences others, challenges effectively and responds well to challenge from others, shares information and ideas with others, has good listening skills.

Some Other Key Skills You’ll Have

  • Proficiency in UX/UI design principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Understanding of user research techniques, usability testing, and data-driven design.
  • Proficiency with design tools and software, such as Figma, Zeroheight and Token Studio.
  • Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is beneficial.
  • Adapt quickly to evolving project requirements and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, clients, and team members.
