Cloud Engineer

In partnership with our client in Switzerland I am recruiting for a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to join the team.

Role Overview:

My client is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to join the growing team in Switzerland with the role been a mix of office and remote working.

Key Responsibilities:

• Jointly responsible for the development and reliable operation of our Azure Cloud Service
• Expert in consulting and further development for all topics relating to Azure Cloud Services
• Providing comprehensive advice to internal departments on the adaptation of cloud services, taking into account information security best practices
• Offering active assistance (hands-on) to specialist departments with the implementation of cloud projects, including assistance with information security risk assessments of potential solutions
• Automating processes and deployments in connection with cloud services
• Participating actively in the creation and continuation of the necessary concepts for cloud adaptation, cloud operations, governance and security
• Supporting and configuring cloud services in the cloud landing zone in constant coordination with the technical stakeholders (engineers, architects and cyber security)
• Training and instructing employees in cloud technologies and their specific application
• Azure Solution Design: supporting specific cloud plans and projects for implementation on the Azure Cloud platform
• Documenting design decisions, configurations, processes and their implementation

Requirements:

• Experience in consulting in connection with Azure Cloud Services
• Experience with hyperscaler technologies, especially Azure and the associated SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and security services
• Experience in the operation and management of a cloud computing environment
• Knowledge of infrastructure automation and infrastructure as code (e.g. Git, Terraform, Bicep) as well as CI/CD pipelines (Github, Github Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Experience with agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban)
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Azure platform (certifications in this area are an advantage)
• Very good knowledge of German and/or English
