Job Description:
We are seeking a talented Cloud Native Engineer with a focus on on-prem Cloud infrastructure, particularly experienced with the Open Shift flavor of Kubernetes. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-native infrastructure to support our growing portfolio of applications and services based on the micro-services architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage highly available and scalable cloud-native infrastructure based on Open Shift Kubernetes in an on-prem environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and architect solutions that meet performance, security, and compliance standards.
- Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, configuration, and monitoring processes.
- Perform capacity planning and optimization to ensure efficient resource utilization and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement best practices for security, identity management, and access control within the Kubernetes cluster.
- Monitor system health, performance, and reliability, and proactively address issues to maintain high availability and uptime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents, working closely with support teams and vendors as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a l or similar role, with a focus on on-prem cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Open Shift Kubernetes, including deployment, configuration, and administration.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, storage systems, and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Podman) and microservices architecture.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Kubernetes certification (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator - CKA).
- Experience with cloud-native CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, etc.).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Familiarity with container security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., CIS benchmarks).
