What will you do?

Q-Park offers you the opportunity to become a Network Engineer in an international environment.

In this role, you will work closely with our Senior Network Engineer and the ICT support team to install, monitor, maintain and optimise the network infrastructure.

As a second-line support engineer, you will work behind the scenes on the robustness and security of our networks and support the Service Desk with more complex issues. You will contribute to the planning and implementation of network patches and releases with suppliers and manage network documentation in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

• Assisting with the installation, maintenance and optimisation of LAN, WAN and VPN networks and security solutions (firewalls, IDS, etc.).
• Monitor, analyse and quickly resolve hardware and software problems in the network.
• Design, update and manage documentation such as logical network drawings, physical network design, VLAN configurations and routing protocols in the CMDB.
• Keeping the network security infrastructure up to date; planning and executing upgrades and replacements.
• Supporting network management programs and compiling network status reports.
• Traveling within the Netherlands to provide on-site network maintenance and support.

Requirements

• Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer Systems and Networks, or relevant work experience;
• CCNA certification or equivalent experience required; CCNP certification is a plus;
• Experience with network management and monitoring tools;
• Experience in leading ICT projects;
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and cloud technologies (network overlay, Software Defined Networking, Network Function Virtualization);
• Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills;
• Hands-on mentality with excellent documentation and communication skills (Dutch and English);
