Machine Learning Specialist

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist to join an innovative and dynamic team in the IT industry. This role is based in Rotkreuz and is perfect for professionals who are passionate about research, development, and applying machine learning to transform internal knowledge systems.

Our client is a leading company in the IT sector, specializing in cutting-edge technologies and solutions. They are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist who will be instrumental in building retrieval augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and optimizing internal knowledge bases.

Your Tasks & Responsibilities:

As a Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Solving machine learning (ML) and data engineering challenges, including model deployment, evaluation, and fine-tuning.
• Developing methods for semantic interpretation and automated redundancy removal of proprietary documents.
• Building data pipelines for collection, preprocessing, RAG implementation, and large language model (LLM) evaluation.
• Benchmarking and optimizing techniques to ensure performance and efficiency.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and clearly communicate results to stakeholders.

Must-Haves:

To succeed as a Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist, you must bring:

• A Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or Computational Linguistics.
• At least 1 year of industry experience in machine learning or related fields.
• Proven technical expertise in deploying and evaluating machine learning models in production or research settings.
• Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Fluency in German and English.

What We Offer:

• Start date: ASAP (latest: 16.04.2025).
• Planned duration: 12 months, with the possibility of extension.
• Workload: 70–100%, with up to 2 days of home office per week.
