The aluminium industry is trending towards a circular low-carbon economy and Hydro Aluminium Metal (AM) has strong ambitions to achieve a net zero-carbon- and emission aluminium production.
We are leading supplier of extrusion ingots, sheet ingots, foundry alloys, wire rods and high-purity aluminium with a global production network of around 5,000 employees. With primary metal production facilities in Europe, Canada, Australia, Brazil and Qatar, and recycling facilities throughout Europe and in the U.S., two-thirds of our primary aluminum production is based on renewable energy.
We are now looking for a talented Business Analyst to join our Performance and Controlling team within the central finance unit, located in Oslo. You will join a small international team, consisting of young professionals and experienced colleagues and be part of our ambitious journey to strengthen our competitive position as a supplier of low-carbon aluminium.
What We Offer
We offer a position with excellent development opportunities, and high level of flexibility and responsibility. You will work with business planning activities and exciting controller tasks used for decision-making and regular reporting and serve as a business partner for business units across Aluminium Metal. In addition to our core analysis and reporting tasks, you will be able to participate in projects which could include business cases development, post investment reviews, financial modelling, drive improvement initiatives, strategy development & reviews, automation projects and IT implementation support.
Your workplace is at our headquarters in Vækerø, Oslo. In your position you will report to the Head of Performance and Controlling in AM and you will be exposed to senior management in AM. You will work in a team with highly competent and engaged colleagues, and get the opportunity to develop yourself for a further career in Hydro.
Areas of responsibility
As a business analyst you will act as a business partner for other business units in AM. Our main responsibilities are business planning and controlling and supporting reporting segments of the business.
We believe you will enjoy this role if you are willing and motivated to learn and grow. You are structured, service-minded and an excellent team player, motivated to work in a diverse and at times high-paced environment. You have comprehensive communication and storytelling skills, and you are comfortable presenting analytical findings and strategic topics.
