Data Analyst | Insurance
Fantastic opportunity for a Data Analyst to join an innovative and reputable Insurance organisation who are going through growth in Ireland.
The role will be responsible for collecting, analysing and interpreting data to support informed decision-making within the organisation. You will play a crucial role in extracting meaningful insights from large datasets, identifying trends and providing actionable recommendations to enhance business strategies. The position requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
The Role
- Gather and extract financial data from various sources
- Ensure data accuracy and reliability through data validation processes.
- Transform data into a format suitable for analysis, ensuring data integrity and quality.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends and anomalies.
- Utilise statistical methods and techniques to derive actionable insights from financial datasets.
- Develop and maintain financial models to simulate different scenarios and assess potential impacts on business outcomes.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports to present analytical findings to stakeholders.
- Use visualisation tools to communicate complex data insights effectively.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and address analytical needs.
- Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure the availability and accessibility of required data.
- Identify opportunities to enhance data analytics processes and tools.
The Person
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science).
- Previous experience as a Data Analyst in the insurance sector.
- Proficiency in SQL and data visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Expertise in statistical analysis tools (R, Python).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex datasets.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of Business Intelligence strategies.
- Effective communication skills to convey findings to non-technical stakeholders.
