Java Application Engineer

Do you have 7+ years of experience as a Java Application Architect? We are looking for an EU national to join our team in Strasbourg.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience as a Java Application Architect
• Expertise in Microservice Architecture using application containers.
• Proficiency in Java and JVM as a development language.
• Thorough user experience with Linux.
• Development experience in Bash.
• Knowledge of Git/GitHub for source code management.
• Experience with Apache Flink for stream processing.
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka messaging platform.
• User experience with Apache ZooKeeper.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes/Openshift.
• Knowledge of Protobuf and gRPC Protocols.
• Experience with Elasticsearch.
• Proficiency in creating and managing Helm charts for deployment.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot for microservices.
• Knowledge of Jenkins for deployment automation.
• Language(s): English (fluent)

Job Description:

• Taking full end-to-end responsibility for providing application support to the customer
• Finding permanent (or sustainable) solutions, or workarounds to incidents;
• If applicable, creating problem reports and / or change requests and linking them to incidents;
• Describing the solutions and confirming whether they will eventually lead to restoring service operations;
• Creating specific input required for incident reviews to be conducted by the customer, as well as continuous Knowledge Management (KM) feeds related to incidents.
