Scrum Master (DevOps)

A leading DevOps company dedicated to helping businesses build, deploy, and maintain high-quality software through continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices. Seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join the collaborative team. You’ll play a pivotal role in facilitating Agile ceremonies, promoting Scrum best practices, and supporting cross-functional teams to ensure efficient delivery of high-impact solutions.

Position Overview:

As a Scrum Master, you will guide and coach our DevOps teams to successfully implement Agile methodologies while enhancing team performance, collaboration, and delivery. You’ll work closely with product owners, developers, and operations teams to ensure that Scrum processes are being followed and that the team continuously improves their workflow in alignment with Agile principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Lead and facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog grooming sessions.
• Coach the Team: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by coaching team members on Agile best practices, Scrum principles, and DevOps processes.
• Remove Obstacles: Act as a servant leader to identify and remove any impediments that may hinder team progress, ensuring smooth sprint execution.
• Collaborate with Product Owners: Work closely with product owners to ensure that the product backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and refined to meet team capacity and sprint goals.
• Promote Agile/DevOps Integration: Support the integration of Agile methodologies with DevOps practices, ensuring that the teams can achieve efficient delivery pipelines and maintain high-quality standards.
• Foster Team Communication: Encourage open communication and collaboration among development, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals, priorities, and timelines.
• Track Metrics: Track and report on Agile metrics such as sprint velocity, burn-down charts, and other performance indicators to ensure transparency and continuous improvement.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Facilitate retrospectives and help the team reflect on past sprints to identify areas of improvement in both their Agile processes and technical delivery.
• Provide Coaching and Training: Deliver training and coaching on Agile/Scrum methodologies to new team members and stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a DevOps or software development environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in a continuous delivery (CD) and continuous integration (CI) environment.
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and drive consensus on technical and process improvements.
• Scrum Master certification (CSM or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, or similar).
• Knowledge of common DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, etc.) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
