We are the consulting division of Davies, accelerating business, technology and people performance across financial services including banking, asset and wealth management, insurance and other highly regulated industries.


We are seeking a Consultant to join our team in Madrid with a specialism in Energy Engineering which must include knowledge and experience working in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC). You will be immediately assigned to a project with one of our major tech clients who specialises in technology relating to energy.


This role can be based in either Madrid or Barcelona.


You will be responsible for:


  • Performing QAQC activities for our client onsite.
  • Verifying conformity against the contractual requirements during the execution of the Construction, erection and installation activities in terms of execution plan and/or delivery date and/or manufacturing quality.
  • Managing and updating the QAQC MS deliverables in the applicable IT Tools (e.g. EasyPlant, GAIA).
  • Analysing information provided by Construction Contractors and monitoring the KPIs evolution.
  • Prepare the Quality Setting Documentation (Site Quality Control Plan, Site Quality Plan, CSF + QCPs, and other supporting documentation).
  • Identifying and reporting any QAQC deviation or issues impacting deliveries or quality.
  • Coordinating the definition of recovery actions and following up their implementation until their resolution.
  • Contributing to the Technical evaluation of offers (related to Construction SOW).
  • Contributing to preparation of Construction Contractors and Inspection Agencies performance evaluations.
  • Attend all project weekly meetings & attend clients meetings and clarifications as needed.
  • Coordination activities with VPM team, onsite team, engineering, etc.
  • Reviewing and commenting all the subcontract bidding offers.
  • Attending clarification meetings with bidders.
  • Attending KOM.
  • Reviewing CC deliverables (material certificates, WPS, PQR, WPQ, construction procedures, records, etc.).
  • Verifying Weld traceability and production.
  • Providing technical support in technical qualifications related to QAQC.
  • Supporting in the opening, management and closing of open non-conformities on site.


Your experience:


  • Native level fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Technical Diploma or Bachelor's Engineering degree.
  • 5 years of experience in a similar role, 3 years of which must have been onsite.
  • Experience in Vendor Performance Management.
  • Able to provide clear precise and accurate reports indicating the compliance with requirements of the applicable construction code and/or project specifications.
  • High knowledge and use of MS Office


Desirable:

  • Experience working on similar projects/engineering experience.
  • IWE or similar, Frosio level II (if applicable).
  • Knowledge of international codes, standard and rules. Special mention should be made of the knowledge and experience in the application of European directives: CE marking, Pressure Equipment, machines, Atex, Low Voltage, etc.
