Responsibilities

As a UI Designer at AWTG, you will be responsible for designing visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for both web and mobile applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including UX designers, developers, and product managers to create intuitive and engaging user experiences. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Creation:
    • Develop high-quality UI designs for web and mobile applications using Figma.
    • Create wireframes, prototypes, and user interface elements to effectively communicate design concepts.
    • Ensure designs are in line with the company’s brand guidelines and design standards.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work collaboratively with UX designers to translate user research findings into actionable design solutions.
    • Partner with developers to ensure the feasibility and implementation of designs.
    • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Leverage Figma for designing, prototyping, and collaborating on design projects.
    • Utilize design systems and component libraries to maintain consistency across projects.
    • Implement responsive and adaptive design principles to ensure compatibility across various devices and screen sizes.
    • Optimize designs for performance and accessibility, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • User-Centered Design:
    • Apply user-centered design principles to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces.
    • Conduct user testing and incorporate feedback into design iterations.
    • Stay updated on the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies to keep our products cutting-edge.
  • Documentation and Presentation:
    • Prepare and present design proposals and project updates to stakeholders.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation for reference throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for improving the user experience and propose innovative design solutions.
    • Participate in design retrospectives and contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and workflows.
Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a UI Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Proficiency in Figma and other design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
  • Experience designing responsive and adaptive layouts for web and mobile applications.
  • Strong visual design skills with a keen eye for detail and typography.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.

Preferred Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, auto-layout, and design system management.
  • Experience with design handoff tools like Zeplin, InVision, Framer, Theme Saturn, DesignNby, Balsamiq, Axure, or Marvel
  • Familiarity with CSS frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS) and how they influence design.
  • Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to facilitate better communication with developers.
  • Awareness of accessibility standards (WCAG) and ability to design inclusive interfaces.
