Compensation: $93k - $105k CAD (depending on individual skillsets and level of experience)

What’s in Store

We're on the lookout for a full time Data Scientist. As a Data Scientist you will be collating, mapping and modeling data for business focused use cases. In addition to creating applied science applications, typical duties and responsibilities for a Data Engineer position may include:


  • Assembling large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements using the medallion architecture.
  • Collecting data through means such as analyzing business results or by setting up and managing new studies/models.
  • Collating data for extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using Microsoft technologies. (Azure data factory, Fabric, and PowerBI)
  • Creating new, experimental frameworks to collect data
  • Building tools to automate data collection
  • Searching through large data sets for usable information
  • Creating reports and presentations for business uses
  • Correlating similar data to find actionable results
  • Building analytical tools to utilize the modeled data, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition.
  • Working with stakeholders including data, design, product and executive teams and assisting them with data-related technical issues.
  • Working with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to support their data science needs while assisting with data-related technical issues.


** Please note this role doesn't offer visa sponsorship and requires the candidate to be residing in Halifax and work from our Halifax office location.

Your Expertise, Skills, and Abilities

Bachelor degree in computer or applied science or related field.

• Exceptional technical writing skills.

• Ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way.

• Ability to visualize data in the most effective way possible for a given project or study.

• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with machine learning and AI.

• Familiarity with data management tools.

• Ability to work independently and with team members from different backgrounds.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to build processes that support data transformation, workload management, data structures, dependency and metadata.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated through the preparation of reports and presentations for diverse audiences.
