Application Security Engineer

Conexus are currently partnered with a global Pharmaceutical client, that are rapidly expanding their Cyber Security capabilities in 2025. On that basis, we are searching for an Application Security Engineer to join them on a permanent basis in Vienna.

Key Responsibilities:

• Continuously assess and manage the security and risk posture across the application portfolio.
• Support IT business partner teams in assessing and delivering secure business application solutions.
• Collaborate with security, technology, and application/platform teams to improve overall application security.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and execute projects related to the application security roadmap.
• Drive application security training initiatives to enhance security awareness and knowledge.

Requirements:

• A master’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in application and cloud security.
• A strong understanding of architecture, security frameworks, business processes, and organizational structures.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (German is a plus).
• Experience or knowledge of the pharmaceutical or relatable industry is highly beneficial.
• Analytical, proactive, and independent working style with strong self-organization and a sense of responsibility.
• Willingness to travel globally (up to 30% of the time).
