Artificial intelligence is transforming society. AI Sweden is the national center for applied artificial intelligence and our mission is to accelerate the use of AI for the benefit of our society, our competitiveness, and for everyone living in Sweden. We drive impactful initiatives in areas such as healthcare, energy, and the public sector while pushing the boundaries of AI research and innovation in fields such as natural language processing and edge learning. Join us in harnessing the untapped value of AI to drive innovation and create sustainable value for Sweden.
We are now looking for a AI developer for a project on generative code models in our NLU team.
About The Position
AI Sweden is part of a project on developing generative code models for the automotive industry. The project will investigate the intersection between generative code models and formal code verification techniques, and we aim to develop a novel type of verification-driven generative code model.
In the role as an AI developer, you will focus on generative code models based on the Transformer architecture. You will work in Sweden’s leading research group on Large Language Models (the NLU group at AI Sweden), and you will encounter a range of stimulating technical challenges and develop some of the most sought-after technical skills in the industry. You’ll be working in a highly stimulating environment where your creativity and power of initiative is not just welcomed, but essential. This position is perfect for those who want to apply their programming skills and inventiveness to cutting-edge development of Transformer-based code models.
We encourage female applicants, and we aim to fill the position as soon as possible.
We believe that as a person you’re
Inquisitive Learner: Passionate about AI and machine learning, you are driven by a desire to continually learn and stay on top of the latest developments.
Practical Problem Solver: With a talent for innovative solutions, you see past challenges and focus on constructive outcomes. Your approach combines practicality with creativity.
Effective Communicator: Your ability to convey complex ideas clearly is important. We highly value a knowledge-sharing culture within our diverse team.
And workwise, you are
Strong Programmer: You have excellent and proven programming skills in Python and preferably also C and C++.
Practical Deep Learner: You have previous experience working with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch. HPC experience is a plus.
Experienced Transformer: You have previously worked with Transformer-based models. It’s a plus if you have worked with autoregressive Transformers and code models.
Agile Implementer & Tester: Quick to grasp and understand new machine learning techniques and trends, you'll experiment with cutting-edge techniques alongside our team.
Why work for AI Sweden?
To us, artificial intelligence is not only about tech, it’s a force for positive societal change. You'll be working alongside leading AI experts, scientists, journalists, linguists, policy professionals, entrepreneurs, change leaders, and many more. To work here, you don’t need to know “everything” about AI, but you need to believe in its potential to help shape our society for the better.
As an organization, we’re uniquely positioned at the sweet spot of governmental influence and startup agility. Small enough to stay adaptive and have fun but backed by and in close contact with both the government, academia and private and public sector.
Join us to make a real-world impact by contributing to initiatives that benefit society and tackle critical challenges. Be at the forefront of AI innovation, working with cutting-edge technologies and playing a key role in shaping the future of AI in Sweden.
And, within our mission, we can most certainly be a platform empowering you to realize your ideas. AI Sweden’s ability to empower partners and individual team members to do exceedingly well in their profession is a key success factor for driving positive and significant impact.
In short, we like to believe we offer our team members a place to grow, an environment for personal development.
An equal and fair working environment
We strongly believe in diversity and inclusion and are acutely aware of the skewed gender balance in our industry. We actively strive to put together a diverse team in terms of age, gender and background.
Naturally, we’re under a collective agreement (“kollektivavtal”) and offer everything that comes with it in terms of annual leave, pensions, wellness allowance (“friskvårdsbidrag”), and such.
Application Deadline: we will evaluate candidates continuously.
If you have any questions or thoughts, don’t hesitate to contact Magnus Sahlgren, Research Manager, NLU.
AI Sweden does not accept unsolicited support and kindly ask not to be contacted by any advertisement agents, recruitment agencies or manning companies.
