Full Stack Engineer

Description:

• Background The FMS Inbound team is working on a mobile application for our co-workers in the store.
• We focus on the systems that are being used in our warehouses and over 476 stores worldwide. Our systems are being used by over 200,000 co-workers and handle 7 million customer returns yearly.
• We're looking for an engineer who can join our team on site in Amsterdam. We work in a hybrid setup.
• As a Senior Engineer you will continuously improve these products by designing new integrations, building new features, and measuring the impact on the co-worker.
• As a person, you have a proven ability to develop high-quality code using and applying such as SOLID and DRY. You are unafraid to share your opinion and join conversations with other product teams to set common standards. You have a curious nature and you actively acquire new knowledge, skills, and digital systems to improve your way of working.
• To be successful as a Software Engineer you have advanced training in computer science or similar and you have demonstrable experience in working in an agile and DevOps environment.
• The user experience of the product is a top priority for you as a developer: with your contribution, our product feels fast and consistent. You get energized by delivering scalable, high-quality software in a multi-cloud environment where you confidently roll out new features.

• Being part of the full product development process, from understanding the problem to designing the solution - to delivering and running our products on production.
• Applying and adhering to good software engineering practices. We love simplicity!
• Providing support and guidance as needed to other developers within the development team and encouraging good practices.
• Contributing to the continuous development of standards against and exploring and bringing in modern technologies and tools to boost innovation and development productivity.
• Helping to identify, measure, automate, and use the right data points to improve our overall software engineering process and helping with the business to improve our digital products.
• Feeling very much at home in different ecosystems and programming environments such as Kotlin/Java (Spring Boot/Cloud), Node/Typescript (React), cloud systems knowledge (vendor-independent), infrastructure as code (Terraform), microservices, and event-driven architectures.
