Senior Embedded Software Engineer - Risc V / C

We are currently partnered with a leading Dutch Semiconductor company looking to expand their team with an experienced Embedded Software Engineer. The role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing software for innovative processors that mimic brain mechanisms to deliver ultra-efficient performance.

This position is based working in Delft; hybrid work of two day per week in office is possible.

Key Responsibilities for this Senior Embedded Software Engineer position:

• Design, implement, and test embedded software components such as device drivers and other complex systems.
• Use tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and hardware debuggers to troubleshoot and resolve embedded system issues.
• Break down tasks, estimate effort, and deliver high-quality solutions on time.
• Work with cross-functional teams to define requirements and design solutions for embedded systems.
• Suggest enhancements to development workflows and practices.
• Create and maintain documentation, develop test programs, and ensure software quality.

Key Requirements:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (BSc or MSc).
• 3+ years of experience in embedded software development using C.
• Familiarity with RISC architectures, particularly RISC-V assembly.
• Experience with Python scripting and version control systems like Git/GitLab.
• Knowledge of HIL testing tools and requirements management.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
