Senior Program Manager

Job Purpose:

The role will carry two key primary functions: (1) Lead key program delivery for high priority programs/projects (HPPs), which are often mandated by senior N1 executives. Secondly; (2) support across Portfolios as required, that contain a specific collection of projects and programs in which the bank has chosen to invest in that is aligned to the strategy.

Experience and Qualification

1. University Degree in Technology, Management or equivalent
2. MBA or equivalent master’s degree is preferred.
3. Experience of working in Banking with experience in both Banking IT PMO and Program Delivery
4. Total experience of 12+ years
5. Minimum of 5 years with oversight of/running large programs of work
6. Previous experience in providing reporting for, presenting to Executive level
7. Previous experience engaging directly with SVP / ‘Global and Regional Heads of’ level in reviews of challenges with ability to guide and challenge as required
8. Minimum 10 years of experience in managing programs/project delivery, project governance
9. Experience in managing a team size of 5-10 people (matrix, functionally)
10. PM Certification is a plus

Skills:

1. Experience in processing large amount of data points and refining into clear, concise reports for Executive level with addition of recommendations, options and/or insights
2. Experience in creating and presenting reports/packs for senior management up to and including executive level
3. Experience in providing information in concise & clear manner to Executives; both verbal and written
4. Experience in oversight/managing more than 5 projects/programs concurrently
5. Experience in engaging with Executive & SVP level, providing management level insights and accountability
