Development Team Lead (Serverless SaaS on AWS)

Job Description:

The Development Team Lead will oversee the technical direction, strategy, and execution of a serverless SaaS platform on AWS. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders, including business leaders, customers, developers, and partners, to build a unified strategy that aligns technical excellence with business goals. You will lead by example, ensuring code quality, sound architecture, and effective team performance. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical expertise with team management and strategic thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage two development teams, working closely with the development tech leads to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and effective collaboration
• Foster a collaborative environment where business requirements are translated into a realistic and actionable development roadmap.
• Define the technical strategy for scaling and evolving the product to reach revenue ambitions.
• Develop and implement a transition roadmap for building and migrating to the latest version of the platform, including backend and architectural redesigns.
• Provide critical input and guidance on key architectural decisions to maintain the scalability, performance, and security of the platform.
• Work with API partners to ensure seamless integration with upstream and downstream systems.
• Translate business requirements into actionable development plans, mitigating risks, dependencies, and roadblocks proactively.
• Ensure high software quality through robust quality assurance practices, including code reviews and automated testing.
• Drive adoption of best practices in serverless architecture, development processes, and deployment pipelines.
• Mentor and support the professional growth of development team members, promoting continuous learning and skill development.

Required Skills and Experience:

1. Proven experience in leading and scaling development teams
2. Expertise in creating and executing strategies for platform evolution, including backend and architecture redesigns, and leading migrations from legacy systems to modern architectures
3. Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and realistic delivery timelines.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
6. Experience with agile methodologies and development process.
7. Proficiency in TypeScript and React.
