About the role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join a dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of data engineering and a proven track record of leading data projects in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering.

- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Extensive experience with cloud services such as AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, AWS Batch, Athena.

- Demonstrated experience with BigQuery or Redshift.

- Familiarity with Prefect or AWS Step Functions or other orchestration tools/frameworks for managing complex data workflows.

- Knowledge of cloud security best practices, data encryption, IAM (Identity and Access Management), and compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

- Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and DevOps practices.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent understanding of data architecture including data mesh, data lake and data warehouse.

Nice to have:

- Certifications in AWS and GCP.

- Experience in the leading and delivering data engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

- Design, build, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines using SQL, Python, AWS Glue, and Redshift/BigQuery.

- Lead the integration of complex data systems and ensure consistency and accuracy of data across multiple platforms.

- Assist in migration of Data and pipelines from GCP to AWS.

- Ensure data quality and perform data transformations within the AWS ecosystem.

- Develop and enforce best practices in data governance, security, and compliance within the organization.

- Operationalize cataloging and governance to enable Citizen analysts.
