DevOps Engineer

Role: GCP Engineer/DevOps

Contract: freelance/B2B

Duration: 6 months plus possible extension

Location: Hybrid in Warsaw (twice per week on-site, 3 days remote)

JD:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer with a strong background in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, building, and maintaining scalable cloud platforms, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, and working with GCP's analytics and managed services. This role will be critical in optimizing cloud infrastructure and ensuring reliability, security, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain robust cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and manage deployments through Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Leverage GCP analytics offerings and managed services (such as Cloud Run, Vertex AI, GKE, BigQuery, Dataproc) to support data-driven projects.
• Monitor, log, and create alerts for infrastructure and applications using modern observability tools.
• Manage and deploy applications on Kubernetes clusters, ensuring scalability and high availability.
• Develop automation scripts using Bash and administer Linux systems to optimize performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate and implement secure authentication (OIDC, KMS) and encryption for workloads.
• Write efficient and maintainable code, with a preference for Python and Golang.
