Position: Human Resources Coordinator
Southbridge Health Care LP owns and operates 26 Long-Term Care Homes and 8 Retirement Homes throughout many urban and rural areas of Ontario. Southbridge Health Care LP is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to deliver support to our Human Resources Department.
Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the individual will demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and passion for seniors care by delivering high-quality support to our organization. Key responsibilities include managing employee inquiries, maintaining HR programs and procedures, coordinating internal communications, performing data analysis, and preparing reports. Additionally, the HR Coordinator supports LR activities by assisting with the implementation of LR strategies, collective agreement administration, and related processes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support for HR activities, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee documentation.
- Partner with HR team to enhance culture, employee engagement, retention, well-being, and work environment.
- Manage and maintain digital employee records, communications, and employment verification letters.
- Assist with internal and external HR inquiries.
- Support employee benefits and disability inquiries and liaise with providers and consultants on pension and benefits administration.
- Support HR processes such as terminations, exit interviews, grievances and collective bargaining preparation.
- Propose and implement process improvements for operational efficiency.
- Compile and analyze data, generating reports to inform decision-making and identify trends.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with implementing HR programs and projects (e.g., recognition, annual compensation reviews, performance, training, etc.).
- Coordinate HR events and initiatives to foster collaboration and engagement.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support HR functions, initiatives, and projects.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree/diploma in Business Administration/Commerce, Human Resources or related field.
- 1+ years of HR experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring consistency and fairness.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
- Collaborative team player, working well across departments.
- Skilled in building and maintaining positive relationships.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
