Spares & Services Sales is a part of the Global Customer Support (GCS) division at Kongsberg Maritime. We deliver customer support activities to vessel owners based and/or operating worldwide. The discrete product areas we support are Dynamic Positioning, Navigation, Thruster Control and Automation. We are now looking for a new Service Technical Product Manager to join our team.
With commercial expertise and customer-centric thinking, you will contribute to the overall success of the product. You will ensure that GCS needs are prioritized within product and technology, while maintaining customer needs and market expectations by identifying replacement components and upgrade solutions.

Our Global Customer Support division is responsible for Kongsberg Maritimes services, upgrades and support in the aftermarket. Our 3000 employees are present in 35 different countries around the world. During the operational lifetime of more than 30.000 installations, we ensure cost-efficient delivery of services, upgrades and spare parts in order to secure availability and predictability to our customers.

The discrete product areas we support are Dynamic Positioning, Navigation, Thruster Control and Automation. We are now looking for a new Service Technical Product Manager to join our team.

You will ensure that GCS needs are prioritized within product and technology, while maintaining customer needs and market expectations by identifying replacement components and upgrade solutions.
What You Will Be Doing
- Service Lifecycle Management and deliver according to GCS Life Cycle Management vision and strategy.
- Create prognoses for spares usage and secure critical spares availability.
- Create routines for refurbished loop and cost overview.
- Implement business tools to support usage, critical spares, installation history.
- Quality Assurance and continuous improvement.
- Documentation of processes and training
- Extensive cooperation with our customer support teams and work closely with supply chain and product
- Travel as required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
- Systematic and structured approach to work and ability to handle several activities simultaneously.
- Commercial mindset and able to build a useful network of contacts and relationships and utilize it to achieve set goals.
- Proactive mindset, accepting responsibility and collaborate well with others.
- Knowledge of KM Automation & Control portfolio and customer segments is an advantage.
