Qualifications:

• Educational Background: BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience developing applications in the .NET ecosystem (C#, ASP.NET Core, etc.).
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design principles (e.g., SOLID, GRASP).
• Familiarity with UML modeling for communicating and documenting software designs.
• Working knowledge of databases:
• Proficient with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar).
• Basic understanding of NoSQL databases and when to apply them.
• Exposure to domain-driven design (DDD) principles (such as CQRS and Event Sourcing) is a plus.
• Comfortable with common architectural styles and patterns (e.g., Microservices, Layered, Client-Server).
• Experience with API design (REST, gRPC) and messaging (RabbitMQ, Kafka) is a plus.
• Familiar with design and code smells and common design patterns.
• Understanding of software testing principles (unit testing, mocking, faking, etc.).
• Familiarity with caching (Redis or similar) and basic performance tuning.
• Proficiency with version control (Git) and GitLab or GitHub workflows.
• Experience with setting up or working in CI/CD pipelines and artifact management tools.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), Docker, or Kubernetes is a plus.
• Familiarity with monitoring & troubleshooting tools (e.g., New Relic) is a bonus.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with an aptitude for debugging, tracing, and refactoring legacy code.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrating good communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
• Good command of written and spoken English to produce clear documentation and communicate ideas.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies or approaches.

Preferred:

• Experience with advanced Microservices concepts (API Gateway, Service Mesh, Service Discovery, Containerization).
• Understanding of security guidelines and identity management (OpenID, OWASP best practices).
• Experience with mission-critical, 24x7 systems or high availability scenarios.
• Knowledge of data-intensive application patterns, including polyglot persistence, search engines (Elasticsearch), and indexing.
