Asset Management Agile Engineer

DLL is looking for an Agile Engineer for our applications in the Asset Management area. The candidate will assist in the design, development and maintenance of applications in Microsoft Azure supporting our Asset Management area which includes external and internal portals, databases, and APIs as well as a reporting environment. Professional experience as a .NET developer including experience with SQL, REST APIs. This is an agile engineer role where day to day work can include, helping with Functional requirements, development and testing, and working closely with the product owner to ensure features and designed and delivered in a sustainable and scalable solution.

Day To Day

  • Work closely with the Product owner to get Features and PBIs over to the development team for implementation.
  • Develop, test, and deploy web applications using .NET Core, REST API in Azure.
  • Collaborate with other teams to design software architecture and write scalable code.
  • Oversee the other development team members, reviewing code and handling release coordination.
  • Writing stored procedures and functions in Azure SQL Database.
  • Participate in requirements analysis and provide technical guidance to stakeholders.
  • Execute test plan updates, and test scenario execution.
  • Collaborate with Architecture and Integrations team members to develop best practices and methodologies.
  • Oversight and alignment on the entire Asset management environment, including design, development, maintenance and support.
  • Enhance the current CI/CD processes to support new and existing development.
  • Participate in day-to-day maintenance of several application systems in operation, including identifying and troubleshooting application issues.
  • Expected to perform bug fix and/or enhancement requests.

Essentials

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in Information Technology.
  • Extensive experience with web development in .NET environment, MVC or other multi-tiered architecture.
  • 5+ years of experience with web API (Azure)
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience and advanced development skills in:
    • Entity Framework, Dapper.
    • Front-end frameworks including React, Vue, Angular and Kendo etc
    • Experience with Azure development (Key Vault, App configuration, Cosmos DB, SQL DB, Application Insights, Front door, AD)
    • Experience with Azure CI/CD for .net applications
    • Relational database design and T-SQL Database Querying
    • Understanding of web application security (e.g. SQL Injection, XSS, CSRF, etc
    • Proficient in the Microsoft Azure Platform including C#, .NET, and Visual Studio
    • Proficient in RDBMS and SQL knowledge.
    • Proficient in testing methodologies (TOSCA a plus)
    • Agile and DevOps experience; Azure DevOps Deployment and Release Management using Azure DevOps tooling.
    • Ability to communicate technical needs and solutions with non-technical staff.
    • Highly organized and efficient with excellent time management skills
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks within a collaborative team environment.
