Job Description

As an IoT Technical Consultant, you will work in a client-facing role for an established global clientele, helping them apply to lead ThingWorx IoT, Advanced Analytics, and Augmented Reality capabilities to challenging business problems. Our focus is on helping clients extract value from the latest IoT capabilities, not just on making the technology work. In this role, you will help design, develop and test solutions for a diverse set of clients in industries such as Manufacturing, Life Sciences, High Tech, Consumer Goods, and Retail. In this role you will report into the EMEA Digital Business Manager.

Your Responsibilities

• Achieve a balance between meeting client obligations, supporting their needs, and being an ambassador for the organization
• Lead technical discussions to develop solutions for clients
• Help develop client proposals
• Manage multiple workstreams of a project
• Communicate client expectations and feedback to engage the team
• Implement, validate, and deploy the scalable and commercial ThingWorx IoT solutions in a client-facing setting
• Perform advanced system configuration and customization
• Design of software extensions and integrations using specific APIs
• Manage data migrations
• Ensure quality of code by performing unit testing and code reviews
• Develop technical and functional specifications based on software design and performance
• Perform advanced installations of tools to support development
• Perform advanced system administrative tasks
• Support the data model and the mapping definition
• Status reporting within their teams and with the clients
  
  

The Essentials - You Will Have

• Degree in Computer Science, Digital Software Development, or related
• 3+ years of experience with ThingWorx IoT service and mashup development
• Experience with advanced analytics and machine learning disciplines like model development, training, validation, and deployment
• 3+ years of experience integrating ThingWorx with 'Big Data' platforms
• Experience developing in Java, C#.NET, JavaScript, SQL languages or related
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal
• Willingness to travel up to 50%
  
  

The Preferred - You Might Also Have

• Experience working with different platforms such as Windows Server and Linux
• Experience working with typical IT integration technologies REST, SOAP, batch, queues
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and identity management
• General knowledge of Agile and SDLC software development practices and technical documentation (requirements, functional specifications, test plans)
