Vos missions

Your Missions

• Develop and Enhance the Backtesting Tool: Build and expand a robust Python-based backtesting tool, leveraging existing mathematical models to simulate and test Lobster’s DeFi strategies.
• Scrape and Process Blockchain Data: Design and implement solutions to scrape minute-by-minute historical data from blockchain liquidity pools using tools like Dune Analytics, Flipside Crypto, or TheGraph. Collect, process, and structure data from real-time and historical blockchain activity.
• Integrate Blockchain and Market Data Sources: Ensure seamless integration of real-time and historical liquidity pool data from decentralized protocols to enable accurate and actionable backtesting.
• Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with Lobster’s strategy and development teams to align data pipelines and ensure the backtesting tool is optimized for practical use in decision-making.
  
  
  

Vos compétences

Programming Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Python, with experience in data-focused libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and SciPy.
• Familiarity with Jupyter Notebook for prototyping, visualizations, and sharing results.
  
  
  

Blockchain Data Tools:

• Experience with Dune Analytics, Flipside Crypto, TheGraph, or equivalent tools for blockchain data scraping and processing.
• Strong knowledge of decentralized finance concepts, especially liquidity pools and protocols like Uniswap v3 and AAVE.
  
  
  

Data Handling and Visualization:

• Expertise in handling large, time-series datasets and creating visualizations to support strategic analysis.
• Knowledge of data storage and retrieval optimization techniques.
• General Requirements:
• Understanding of DeFi strategies, impermanent loss, and delta-neutral positions.
• Proven experience in building analytical or simulation tools.

• 2+ years of experience in DeFi, data engineering, or a related field.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
