We at Coforge are hiring for Java Architect to modernize a critical in-house Fintech application, ensuring maintainability, test coverage, and alignment with modern development practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Refactor legacy Java codebase to follow modern object-oriented practices.
• Design and implement comprehensive testing (for e.g. unit, component, integration, blackbox).
• Enable local development by configuring the application to run on laptops.
• Investigate and configure Control-M to run locally, if feasible.
• Explore containerization of the application, subject to infrastructure constraints.
• Integrate the application into MS Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with the existing Java developer to share knowledge and ensure smooth transitions.

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in modernizing Java applications and refactoring legacy code.
• Experience with test automation and building robust test suites.
• (Not essential, including for visibility) Familiarity with Control-M and its integration with Java applications.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and Azure DevOps.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teams and mentor developers.
