Job Title:Java Production and support engineer

Location:Geneva, Switzerland ( Hybrid)

Experience level: 8-10 years

Day rate: 420 Swiss Franc/day

Looking for a production and support engineer to carry out operational tasks on our external business applications portfolio ensuring system availability and optimum performance on an ongoing basis.

Required: At least 8 years of hands-on experience in developing, maintaining and supporting JAVA applications; out of those at least 4 years of experience as a Java developer developing applications and at least 4 years of experience maintaining and supporting applications developed in JAVA

The working environment includes the following tech, tools and processes:

AWS fargate, Docker, Bamboo, Tomcat, Wildfly, Java, SQL, JIRA.

Skills:

• AWS Fargate, Docker, Linux environments, configuration management, Java, bash scripting or any other scripting language
• CI/CD pipelines with knowledge of release management to release/deploy new version of software having updates/fixes
• Knowledge in relational databases and SQL languages
• Problem solving attitude
• High attention to detail
• Knowledge sharing and training capabilities
• Excellent knowledge of English.

• In particular, proven experience of :
• Building and maintaining highly available systems
• CI/CD pipelines
• Monitoring and alerting
• Troubleshooting technical issues
• 3rd level technical support
