A rare opportunity has come up for an experienced Software Engineer with Python to join an amazing Data Science & AI team, in fast-growing, global investment company that is just opening its new office in Warsaw (the first in Poland)!

The company builds an AI-focused data enrichment capability from the ground up. This role is crucial in supporting our geographical and alternative data research analytics programs. You will work alongside data stewards to build a “golden records” system, focusing on projects such as brand to ticker mapping and developing a comprehensive point of interest database for retail store locations and more. Your work will directly influence our investment decisions by ensuring the delivery of high-quality, timely data.

YOUR ROLE

  • design and maintain robust data pipelines to deliver high-quality, timely datasets to stakeholders
  • develop products and tools that enhance the capabilities of our Data Science & AI team.
  • leverage AI and machine learning to automate processes and scale team operations effectively
  • collaborate closely with investment staff to understand and anticipate data needs
  • implement quality control checks to validate data integrity and availability
  • maintain alerting systems and investigate data incidents to ensure seamless operations
  • participate in on-call rotations to support our products and investors, embodying our “own what we build” philosophy

If You Are a Person Who

  • has 5+ years of software development experience
  • is strong proficiency in Python (including pandas) and SQL/Database skills
  • gained experience with web technologies (HTML/JS, APIs) and networking.
  • is proficiency in Linux (Windows experience is a plus)
  • has excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional Attributes For Success

  • experience designing infrastructure, data products, and tools for Data Scientists
  • proficiency in containerizing workloads with Docker (Kubernetes experience is a plus)
  • experience with build automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
  • familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly AWS
