Web Developer

We are looking for a Web Developer for a company in the education sector that we are currently consulting for.

You will be working with our team of experienced engineers and developers to develop and maintain high-quality applications. You will report directly to the development Team Leader and assist with all functions of coding and design. If you are passionate about web/mobile platforms and translating code into user-friendly apps, we would like to meet you.

As a web developer, you will collaborate with internal teams to develop functional applications while working in a fast-paced environment. You should have a good working knowledge of basic programming languages and the ability to learn new technologies quickly. You should be able to design and build the next generation of our applications.

Responsibilities:

• Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, and support).

• Design and build fully functional applications.

• Write and maintain clean code.

• Gather specific requirements from stakeholders and suggest suitable solutions.

• Write unit and UI tests.

• Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance.

• Design interfaces to improve user experience.

• Ensure new and legacy applications meet quality standards.

• Research and suggest new software products, applications and protocols.

• Stay up to date with new technology trends.

Qualifications

Education

B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

Technical Requirements

• Proven work experience as web developer.

• In-depth knowledge of at least one programming language such as Java and Python.

• In-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript and/or Typescript.

• Depth knowledge of at least one of the following front-end web frameworks: VueJS, ReactJS and AngularJS.

• Basic knowledge of NodeJS backend technology.

• Basic knowledge of relational/non-relational database technologies and platforms such as SQL and MongoDB.

• Basic knowledge of version control tools such as Git.

• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.

• Familiarity with Object Oriented Programming design principles.

• Excellent analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude.

• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
