What is the role about?

The purpose of this role is to analyze, design, develop, deploy and support software solutions required to meet the business objectives and requirements in accordance with the company standards. A significant contribution with technical knowledge and involvement in complex IT projects is required.

The Job Holder is accountable for the development and design implementation of architectural changes of IT systems, having analytical skills, specific IT architecture and development knowledge and abilities in using software tools or programming languages, in order to produce and implement workable solutions based on the requirements and needs of Borealis.

Responsibilities:

• Implement software solutions and data engineering solutions to meet business objectives according to system achitecture and company coding standards
• Drive and coordinate the development of software solutions following the business strategic objectives.
• Delivers complex multi-discipline technical specific tasks, according to defined service level agreements, for allocated software services without guidance and monitoring for daily activity and for project activities, respecting the principles and rules in place.
• Complete well designed systems of high quality that make appropriate use of technology.
• Participate and lead in new technology investigation and make recommendations for new technology adoption.
• Lead technical projects on demand and act as mentor to junior staff.
• Building and maintaining continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines on development, countinuous integration and test environments.
• Analyze business needs, consult with business stakeholders and design software applications accordingly to automate strategic processes
• Maintaining software applications, offering support in operational to deliver high quality services.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree: Software Engineering /Business relevant professional education in IT&C studies, reflected by a Master degree. / Additional education and training in IT field
• Relevant professional experience: > 9 years
• Excellent skills using Azure in developing different solutions with focus on data flows and orchestration. Ability to develop and operate internally developed solutions based on Azure resources. Previous experience with Kubernetes and docker are required.
• Excellent understanding of APIs and its design and implementation.
• Excellent knowledge of what Services-based Architecture is and how it works. Ability to embed best practices in developing an end-solution.
• Experience in cloud computing technologies (SaaS / IaaS / PaaS). Tools like Cypress Cloud, Snyk, SonarCloud,…
• Extensive knowledge of Javascript/Typescript, PostgresSQL, React & NodeJS
• Strong experience with JSON, XML, REST, NoSQL Database(MongoDB, Cassandra), Distributed System, RDBMS, MVC frameworks, Design Patterns, Javascript, Python
• Excellent English skills
