I am looking for a person to conduct industry-based research on large scale power system integrity under high penetration of converter-based generation. The successful candidate will be the main contact to a large consortium of partner companies and their technical specialists. Therefore, aside technical competence, communication and project management skills are a must. Responsibilities
Develop and proof simplifying modelling rules (RMS and EMT) for converter based small scale generation in a system-wide high penetration level under disturbed grid conditions. Develop projections of the future system behaviour given the implementation of the current connection network codes. Propose improvements for further network code developments where necessary. The last step can be the basis for a PhD thesis.
Qualifications
- An MSc degree in electrical power engineering of a respected technical university
- At least one peer-reviewed international journal publication in the field of connection network codes
- Proven knowledge of the EU network codes and their technical background
- Good knowledge of the German language or at least a clear possibility to learn it within a few months (e.g. due to a similar mother tongue)
- Excellent team playing and communication skills
