C# .Net Developer

Our client, a global leader in the trading industry, is actively looking for a junior C# .Net developer to join the team in Geneva.

Role Overview

As a .NET developer with a strong background in business analysis, you will play an essential role in building a new master data platform that integrates multiple applications, utilizing both internal and external data sources. Your work will involve collaborating closely with different business units and being part of a global development team. This is a unique opportunity to engage with cutting-edge projects and directly influence our data-driven decision-making processes.

Located in Geneva, Switzerland, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing a unified Master Data platform to support various business applications such as locations, vessels, contracts, and more
• Conducting business analysis to identify use cases and designing solutions that meet the needs of different systems
• Collaborating with a global team of developers to enhance our analytics capabilities
• Translating user feedback into improvements and bug fixes
• Writing clean, scalable, and well-documented code to address business needs
• Providing support and training to users on business applications
• Contributing to diverse projects, including systems based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and data ingestion/distribution

Required Skills and Experience

• Around 5 years of hands-on experience working with C# and .NET technologies in large-scale enterprise environments
• Expertise in Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders
• Dedication to following best practices in software development
• Self-driven with excellent time management skills and the ability to handle changing priorities
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written
• French is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GraphQL or gRPC is advantageous
• Familiarity with Reactive Extensions (RX) is a plus
• Prior experience in the commodities or trading industries is beneficial
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Knowledge of the French language is an added advantage
