About The Job

As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in designing, developing and scaling advanced analytics and AI solutions that support decision-making across Opella. You will work at the intersection of data science, technology and business, partnering with cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges and deliver products that create measurable impact.

You will contribute to the complete lifecycle of AI and machine learning solutions, from problem framing and experimentation to deployment, monitoring and adoption, ensuring that solutions are scientifically robust, operationally reliable and aligned with business needs.

• Design and deliver AI and machine learning solutions that address business challenges across functions.
• Translate business opportunities into analytical approaches, balancing technical excellence with practical outcomes.
• Support the adoption of scalable, production-ready data products and machine learning models.
• Collaborate with digital, engineering and business teams to accelerate innovation and maximize value creation.
• Champion data quality, model governance and responsible AI practices.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, experimentation and knowledge sharing.
• Help shape a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, simplicity and impact.
  
  

Main responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy machine learning, forecasting, optimization, NLP and Generative AI solutions that support business objectives.
• Own projects end-to-end, from problem definition and experimentation through deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Build scalable and maintainable analytical products, services and APIs using modern software engineering practices.
• Partner with product managers, engineers and business stakeholders to prioritize opportunities and translate requirements into actionable solutions.
• Establish and promote best practices for data quality, model development, validation and lifecycle management.
• Communicate insights and recommendations through clear data storytelling and stakeholder-focused visualizations.
• Contribute to the evolution of Opella’s AI and machine learning capabilities, including MLOps, cloud platforms and emerging technologies.
  
  

About You

• Experience delivering machine learning and AI solutions in production environments, from experimentation to deployment and monitoring.
• Strong expertise in Python and modern data science ecosystems, with experience building analytical applications and services.
• Solid understanding of machine learning, statistics and data-driven problem solving, with experience applying these techniques to business challenges.
• Experience working with cloud platforms and collaborative development practices, including version control, testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a broad range of stakeholders and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or another relevant quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional proficiency in English.
