DevOps Engineer

Emagine is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join a collaborative and innovative project environment in Seixal, Portugal. This role is ideal for a professional with 3 to 5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Systems Architecture, looking to contribute to the scalability, performance, and reliability of enterprise applications and platforms within a leading industrial environment.

You will play a key role in designing and implementing scalable infrastructure solutions, optimizing system integrations, supporting cloud environments, and promoting DevOps best practices. This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with development teams and business stakeholders to deliver secure, high-performing, and resilient solutions.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Define and implement scalability strategies for applications and infrastructure.
• Analyse, optimise, and redesign integration solutions to improve performance and efficiency.
• Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks across development and operational environments.
• Participate in architectural and technology decisions aligned with business objectives.
• Improve the performance of dashboards, reports, and data analysis solutions.
• Promote DevOps best practices, automation, and observability across platforms.
• Ensure the availability, security, and reliability of enterprise applications and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement and successful solution delivery.

You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Systems Architecture.
• Strong experience administering and maintaining Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience administering and supporting applications built with Java, Node.js, Angular, and Python.
• Experience configuring and managing web servers and proxies, including Nginx, HAProxy, and Apache HTTP Server.
• Strong knowledge of monitoring, observability, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation in complex environments.
• Good understanding of application and cloud security principles.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
• Proactive, autonomous, and solution-oriented mindset.

Nice to Have:

• Experience contributing to architecture and technology decisions.
• Experience working in automation-driven and continuous improvement environments.
• Good level of written and spoken English.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Location & Eligibility:

• Candidates must be based in Portugal.
• Hybrid regime — 3 days per week on-site in Seixal and 2 days remote.
